Membership FAQ

Straight answers before you buy.

Signing up

How do I sign up?+

Everything runs through Court Reserve. Search for East Hartford Racquet Club—not the pickleball name—or nothing comes up.

I do not have a Court Reserve account.+

Text 860-917-4251 or email us and we will set it up with you.

When does membership start?+

Your membership begins when it is activated through Court Reserve.

Will my rate go up later?+

No. Whatever rate you join at is your rate for as long as your membership stays active. When the card changes, it changes for new members.

Tennis club member?+

You pay member prices for open play, with a 5-day booking window.

Legacy Member

What is it?+

$59.99 a month for unlimited play—one two-hour open-play session a day. That price stays locked while the membership remains active.

Can I pay annually?+

Yes. The annual price is $659.89 for twelve months instead of $719.88 paid monthly. With the 10% service discount, it is $593.90.

Can I still get Legacy?+

Legacy is sold out. Join the waitlist and we will contact you when a membership becomes available.

Can two adults share one?+

No. Legacy covers one person. Two Legacy memberships total $119.98 a month, still below Team of Two Unlimited at $124.99.

Who is Legacy best for?+

Players attending roughly eight or more sessions a month. If you play once a week, Partial may be the better value.

Partial (founding rate)

What is Partial?+

Four two-hour open-play sessions each month. Extra sessions are $7.50 each, so you are never locked out.

How does the founding rate work?+

The first 75 Partial members lock the $29.99 rate. After that, the rate becomes $39.99. The plan is capped at 150 memberships.

Can I move from Partial to Legacy?+

Legacy is currently sold out. You can join the waitlist while using Partial, but the $29.99 rate does not transfer if you later change plans.

Partial or Unlimited?

What is the difference?+

Partial includes four plays a month per adult. Unlimited includes one two-hour session a day per adult. Additional Partial sessions are $7.50.

Which costs less?+

At the current $29.99 rate, Partial is the same price or cheaper when you play eight times or fewer in a month. At nine sessions it totals $67.49, so Unlimited becomes the better value.

Is membership worth it versus drop-in?+

Drop-in is $15. Partial at $29.99 pays for itself in two visits; at $39.99, in fewer than three. Legacy pays for itself in four.

Households and children

What counts as a Family membership?+

Two adults and up to four children. Both Partial and Unlimited include junior programming, family court time, and junior-program discounts.

Can children play evening sessions?+

Evenings are adult sessions unless the schedule says otherwise.

Are plays shared?+

No. Team of Two Partial and Family Partial include four plays for each adult. Unlimited means one session a day for each adult.

Which plan fits two adults?+

Two frequent players may prefer an Unlimited option. Two casual players save with Team of Two Partial. If one plays often and one does not, one Unlimited plus one Partial may fit best.

Discounts and guests

Who receives the 10% discount?+

First responders, teachers, and veterans. It uses the honor system, applies to monthly and annual prices, and stacks with annual pricing.

Can I bring a guest?+

Yes. Every membership includes six guest passes a month; Legacy includes unlimited passes. The member must be present.

What does a guest pay?+

The first visit is free. After that, the guest rate is $15. Unused passes reset on the first of each month.

Caps and waiting lists

What are the membership caps?+

Legacy is capped at 50 and is sold out. Unlimited has 12 openings remaining; once those are claimed, Unlimited moves to a waitlist. Partial is capped at 150 total memberships, with the $29.99 founding rate limited to the first 75.

Why cap membership?+

Four courts can hold only so many people before a session becomes more waiting than playing. We would rather protect the experience than oversell the club.

What happens when a cap is reached?+

That membership stops being sold and new players join a waiting list. Spots reopen when someone leaves. Children on Family memberships do not count toward the 220.

Playing

When is open play?+

Current times are always in Court Reserve.

Do I need a rating?+

Banded open play uses your E.H. Player Rating. Not sure of yours? Take a look at the scale and add it to your Court Reserve account.

Where should a brand-new player start?+

Start with the free lesson. Tell us you are new and someone will help you get going.

Do I need to book?+

Yes. Book through Court Reserve so we know to expect you. Open play is included within your plan; extra member sessions are $7.50 and non-members pay $15.
